Sofi Hersher Andorsky is a Director on the Democracy Team at Third Plateau. In this role, and as Director of Organizing for the Democracy Communications Collaborative, she supports leaders, organizations, and funders focused on building a brighter future for American democracy.
Prior to joining Third Plateau, Sofi served as founding vice president for strategy and communications at A More Perfect Union: The Jewish Partnership for Democracy. Sofi has spent 15 years at the intersection of community-building and civic life with an emphasis on engaging the faith sector in the work of sustaining and strengthening democracy. Sofi has worked in legal, communications, and public policy roles at Twitter (not X), the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, ignite Digital Strategy Agency (now Storyraise) and through her consulting practice, Grand View Strategies.
Sofi holds an M.A. in Religion in Contemporary Society from King’s College London as well as a B.A. in Comparative Religion from the University of Washington. She regularly writes and speaks on topics including civic space, religious freedom, the Equal Rights Amendment, liberal democracy, and the role of faith communities in a strong civil society. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty and an At-Large Member of the Colorado Jewish Community Relations Council. Sofi lives in Denver with her husband, son, and growing collection of Agatha Christie novels.
