Murphy Walsh (she/her) is an Associate on the Democracy Team, focusing on operations. Prior to joining Third Plateau, she worked at Future Caucus. Starting on the Policy team there, she was responsible for a number of policy issues including the future of work and energy/environment, and completed a data project tracking young people running for Congress. She ended her tenure there as the Operations & Events Manager, working on event logistics and building out a number of operational systems and processes, a skillset she is excited to apply here at Third Plateau. She has also worked as a Legislative Intern for the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, and as a Deputy Field Director on the campaign to elect Congresswoman Sara Jacobs.

Murphy earned her BA in Political, Legal, and Economic Analysis and a Minor in French and Francophone Studies from Mills College; a Paralegal Certificate from the University of San Diego; and her MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics. Murphy is based in San Diego, CA, and when not working, you can generally find her acting. She also enjoys exploring the world through cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time around vast expanses of water.
