Mariela (she/her) provides administrative and project management support for smooth daily operations at Third Plateau, working closely with members of our senior and operations team. She enjoys using her planning and coordination skills to ensure philanthropic and business efficiency.

Mariela has a background in administration, client relations, operations, and data management. Prior to joining Third Plateau, she worked at various start-ups in the Bay Area, most recently at Lucira Health, a biotech company that created the first FDA approved at-home COVID-19 test. Prior to that, Mariela served as an Administrative Operations Assistant at Zūm, an organization focused on reimagining student transportation across the nation.

Mariela graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Merced. Outside of work, you will often find her traveling to new places and trying new foods. She loves baking desserts – her specialty is banana bread! Mariela also enjoys reading, decorating, organizing her home, trying new coffee spots, and catching up on her favorite shows.
