Madeline “Maddie” Harty is an Associate on the Democracy Team at Third Plateau supporting the Democracy Communications Collaborative (DCC). She supports strategy, research, and grantmaking of the DCC through project coordination, systems development, and stakeholder communications.

Prior to joining Third Plateau, Maddie worked in various roles supporting state, federal, and international government affairs. She has served as an Election Judge at her local precinct, held several program management roles at the U.S. Department of Justice, and worked in Sweden conducting global electoral integrity trainings and research. Maddie has a bachelor’s from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (go Badgers) and master’s from the University of Denver Josef Korbel School of International Studies.

Maddie enjoys all the outdoor perks of living in Colorado and is frequently planning her next weekend getaway. When not traveling, she teaches dance classes and can be found working on her latest writing project or ordering takeout with her partner.
