Jamila Brown
Jamila brings a strong background in executive support and nonprofit operations, having previously served as an executive assistant to directors and executive leadership within mission-driven organizations. As the Administrative Assistant for the Democracy Communications Collaborative (DCC), she provides strategic administrative support, coordinates cross-functional projects, streamlines organizational operations, and helps advance DCC’s mission through thoughtful planning and collaboration. Jamila is passionate about building efficient systems, strengthening relationships, and enabling teams to do their best work.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Communications, from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to serving her community, including serving on foster care advisory boards that support and advocate for youth. Outside of work, Jamila enjoys spending time with her husband and Goldendoodle, Leo, practicing hot yoga, and staying active at the gym.
