Anna Luna
Luna (she/her) strategizes with philanthropists and community organizations to implement impactful grantmaking portfolios. Using an equity lens, she provides keen insight and deep thought-partnership while uplifting important trends in the fields of family strengthening, education, and youth development. Recognizing that community engagement is critical to impactful philanthropy, she partners with trusted community stakeholders to elevate opportunities in diverse communities.
Luna’s career journey has focused on closing the achievement gap and addressing deep racial and economic inequalities in the public education system. Prior to joining Third Plateau, she served as Program Associate at the S.H. Cowell Foundation, advancing best practices to empower children and enable their families to thrive. In this role she worked across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to amplify the impact of the national Family Resource Centers network.
Luna holds a B.A. in Chicano/a Studies from the University of California, Davis. She earned her Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation from the American College of Financial Services. In her free time, Luna loves to visit museums and art galleries, and attend community events with family and friends. She is an avid reader and is always planning her next trip.
