About Fast Company’s Best Workplaces for Innovators
Fast Company has produced the Best Workplaces for Innovators Awards since 2019. Now in its seventh year, the awards program recognizes companies that most effectively encourage innovation across the enterprise. To earn recognition, companies must cite existing programs and investment that demonstrate an infrastructure that captures and cultivates great ideas arising from any corner of the organization.
Fast Company editorial staff assess nearly 1,000 applications, judging company responses to questions on particular examples of home-grown innovation, existing programs to encourage innovation, investment in R&D, and overall culture. The 100 companies with the highest scores are ranked, and judges also determine winners in 10 separate categories, including the Small and Mighty category, recognizing best workplaces for innovators with fewer than 100 employees that have outpaced their cohort in fostering cultures of innovation.
