Linda Covello

Client Controller

Linda is a controller for Third Plateau clients specializing in nonprofits and goes by the Chronicler of Financial Success — because to Linda, every budget tells a story of where an organization has been and where it is going. Her love for helping others, her commitment to mission-driven organizations, and her comfort with numbers make nonprofit accounting a natural fit, and she brings more than 17 years of experience with California nonprofits and schools across all areas of finance.

Previously, Linda spent eight years as the Chief Business Official at Denair Unified School District where she worked with the Board, management, and both certificated and classified staff to bring an inherited budget with a negative fund balance to positive, with reserves and ongoing raises for all staff.

Linda holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Brandman University and a CBO certificate from the California Association of School Business Officials. Outside of work, she enjoys trying new cuisine, drawing and coloring, reading, and playing with her two dogs.
